Stuart Calvert - Managing Director
Stuart Calvert joined MGB in 2008 as Managing Director. He has over 25 years experience in the rail industry, a career that has included working for client, contractor, and consultant organisations.
After initial sponsorship by British Rail on their engineering training scheme and gaining a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield, Stuart quickly realised that improved engineering support for the rail industry could only be gained by the application of world class project management principles. He studied for and gained an MBA specialising in project management from Henley Management College. He has lectured and written on the subject of project and stakeholder management whilst maintaining hands on practical experience with senior project and business management roles with Railtrack, Adtranz, Bombardier and Jacobs Engineering prior to joining MGB Signalling as Managing Director.
Whilst Stuart has a strong background in disciplined general and project management, he has a first class network built across the rail industry and he is taking the lead in developing a plan for growth and is leading business development and marketing activities for the Company.
