Martin Lister - Commercial Director
Martin Lister joined MGB in 2008 as Commercial Director and has over 25 years experience in Complex Multi disciplinary Projects with the last 15 years in the Rail Industry. This has involved working for both client, contracting and consultancy organizations.
After graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Control Engineering he gained valuable engineering experience in the chemical industry covering the complete project life cycle from development through to commissioning within ICI and Ciba-Geigy.
During his time in the chemical industry he moved through the conventional route of Project Engineering in to Project Management. The application of these Project Management and team principles based on a solid engineering base has worked well in the rail industry and has been successfully applied onmajor signaling projects, Great Eastern, Euston Willesden, Leeds First, East Midlands by Martin in his role as the contractors Project Leader.
Martin has also held senior business managements positions at Bombardier where he was the UK Delivery and sales Director and at Jacobs where he was an Operations Director responsible for their Northern and Irish operation.
In his role as Commercial Director he is responsible to ensure that the business realizes both its growth and commercial performance targets within an acceptable risk profile.
